A 1-Piece Design Flange End Ball Valve
Series 2000
A 1-Piece Design Flange End Ball Valve is a compact, durable valve where the body is a single cast/machined piece, featuring flanges on both ends for bolted connection to pipes, used to start, stop, or regulate fluid flow in systems needing reliable, leak-free, flanged connections, common in stainless steel or cast iron for water, oil, gas
1. UNIBODY CONSTRUCTION:
The one-piece body design provides maximum structural integrity under pipeline stress. By eliminating body bolts and joints, this design significantly reduces potential external leak paths (fugitive emissions), making it ideal for hazardous or high-vacuum services.
2. BLOWOUT-PROOF STEM:
The stem is bottom-entry designed, ensuring it cannot be removed or blown out while the valve is under pressure. This safety-critical feature guarantees operator protection during high-pressure cycles.
3. ISO 5211 MOUNTING PAD:
The top plate is precision-machined to ISO 5211 dimensions. This allows for the “direct mount” of pneumatic or electric actuators and gearboxes, eliminating the need for bulky brackets and reducing the overall footprint of the automated assembly.
A primary PTFE thrust washer is provided to reduce friction between the stem and the body. This reduces operating torque and prevents galling, ensuring a longer service life for the internal components.
5. FIRE-SAFE STEM SEAL:
Featuring a multi-layered packing system, including a graphite secondary seal to ensure “Fire-Safe” integrity. The design is self-adjusting to compensate for temperature fluctuations and packing wear, maintaining a positive seal at all times.
6. FLANGE END CONNECTIONS:
Flanges are machined to ANSI/ASME B16.5 (Class 150/300) or DIN standards. The integral flange design ensures rigid connection to the piping system, providing superior resistance to vibration and thermal expansion compared to threaded valves.
7. CAVITY PRESSURE RELIEF:
The seat design incorporates a specialized relief mechanism. In the event of over-pressure in the body cavity due to thermal expansion of trapped media, the pressure is automatically vented to the upstream side, preventing seat damage or body rupture.
8. POLISHED FLOATING BALL:
The high-grade stainless steel ball is precision-ground and hand-polished to a mirror finish. This “floating” design uses the line pressure to push the ball against the downstream seat, achieving a bubble-tight shut-off even at low differential pressures.
