A 3-Piece Design Flange End Ball Valve is a robust, modular valve with three body sections (center, two ends) bolted together, featuring flanged connections for secure pipeline attachment, allowing for easy inline maintenance like cleaning or seat replacement without removing the whole valve from the line
1. THREE-PIECE SWING-OUT BODY:
The body consists of a center section and two flanged end caps, secured by high-tensile through-bolts. This “swing-out” design allows the center body to be pivoted out for seat and seal replacement while the flanges remain bolted to the piping, significantly reducing maintenance downtime.
2. BLOWOUT-PROOF STEM:
The stem is internally loaded and features an integral shoulder that prevents it from being ejected under high-pressure conditions. This safety-critical design ensures the highest level of operator protection and operational security.
3. ISO 5211 MOUNTING PAD:
The top plate is precision-machined to ISO 5211 dimensions. All handles, gear operators, and pneumatic or electric actuators are designed to mount directly, ensuring perfect alignment and a compact automation footprint.
4. UPPER STEM BUSHING:
An upper stem bushing, retained by a stainless steel ring, is provided to absorb actuator side-thrusts. This bushing is manufactured from PTFE as standard to ensure low friction and smooth rotation.
5. LIVE-LOADED STEM SEAL:
The stem seal features a self-adjusting “U” cup design or Belleville spring washers. This live-loaded system automatically compensates for thermal expansion and packing wear, maintaining a positive, bubble-tight seal in both directions.
6. INTEGRAL FLANGED ENDS:
Flange end connections are precision-machined to ANSI/ASME B16.5 (Class 150/300) or DIN standards. The integral flange design provides a rigid, leak-free connection capable of withstanding significant pipeline stress and vibration.
7. FULL BORE DESIGN:
The internal diameter of the ball and end caps matches the pipe size exactly. This Full Bore flow path ensures zero flow restriction, maximum Cv values, and eliminates turbulence or media buildup within the valve.
8. PRECISION POLISHED BALL:
The solid stainless steel ball is spherically machined and hand-polished to produce a mirror finish. This produces a bubble-tight shut-off, minimizes operating torque, and significantly extends the life of the reinforced PTFE (RPTFE) seats.
